Moscow, 17 May 2013. SIBUR will showcase its polymer products and investment projects, earmarked for export to China and other Asian countries, at Chinaplas, Asia’s largest petrochemical products exhibition in Guangzhou, China.

The main focus will be on the Tobolsk-Polymer plant, one of the world’s largest polypropylene production complexes, which is scheduled to start production in 2013. Products made at the new plant will also target the Asian market, including China.

China is a very important sales market for SIBUR as the company sells a wide range of products to the Chinese market, primarily polyethylene, butadiene nitrile rubbers and butyl rubbers.

“Partnership with SIBUR offers a number of benefits to Chinese customers. Tthe company has had its own trade house in China since 2010, selling petrochemicals in the local currency (Yuan). SIBUR already offers multi-grade polypropylene and polyethylene but after Tobolsk-Polymer comes onstream, SIBUR will expand the range of its polypropylene grades to Chinese customers”, - said Sergey Komyshan, Managing Director of the company’s Basic Polymers business unit.

The 27th International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries (Chinaplas 2013)will be open between 20–23 May 2013. SIBUR’s stand will be in Hall 10.2, Zone B.
