OOO SIBUR has received a notice from the owner of 100% of shares in OAO SIBUR Holding regarding a change in SIBUR Group’s beneficial ownership structure. Indirect interest of Adine Development Inc., which is beneficially owned by Mr. Leonid Mikhelson and Mr. Gennady Timchenko, in the Company's share capital has decreased from 94.5% to 82.5% in favour of companies that are beneficially owned by certain current and former members of the management of OOO SIBUR and OAO SIBUR Holding.

А naming ceremony was held at the Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co. Ltd. shipyard in South Korea for the first two vessels in a new series of LPG carriers (liquefied petroleum gas) ordered by Sovcomflot Group, to operate on long-term contracts with the petrochemical holding company  SIBUR. The carriers will serve to transport LPG from SIBUR’s LPG and light oils transhipment terminal at the Ust-Luga commercial sea port.

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev held a meeting on the development of the chemical and petrochemical industries. The attendees of the meeting included Deputy Prime Minister, Arkady Dvorkovich, Alexander Novak, the Minister of Energy, Mikhail Babich, the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Volga Federal District, Rustem Khamitov, President of Bashkortostan, Alexander Dyukov, Deputy Chairman of SIBUR Holding’s Board of Directors and CEO of Gazprom Neft, Dmitry Konov, CEO of SIBUR, heads of major petrochemical and oil and gas companies, and other officials.

A formal ceremony was hosted today at the Ust-Luga commercial sea port to mark the first loading of a gas carrier with liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) at SIBUR's new transhipment facility for LPG and light oils.

SIBUR, a Russian gas processing and petrochemical company, and Linde Group, a German Technology company, have signed agreements to build and operate new air separation units in Dzerzhinsk, the Nizhny Novgorod Region. On a long-term basis, SIBUR will provide Linde with a leased site and power supply while Linde, in its turn, will supply technical gases to SIBUR.

SIBUR has begun integrated equipment testing at the propylene storage facility and trial production of the first polypropylene line at the company’s Tobolsk-Polymer complex, according to the commissioning timetable. This follows testing of the first production line at the extrusion plant and the polypropylene packaging and dispatch plant.
