Perm, 30 October 2012. Second phase of AlphaporTM expandable polystyrene production line was officially launched at SIBUR’s production site in Perm. The design capacity of the new line is 50,000 tonnes of EPS per year, and with its launch the Company’s aggregate polystyrene design capacity in Perm has reached 100,000 tonnes per year.

Noyabrsk, Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area, 20 September 2012. SIBUR has held a formal opening ceremony to start production at the Vyngapur Gas Processing Plant (GPP), Western Siberia, and to join the first pipes within preparation for the construction of the “Purovsky Gas Condensate Processing Plant – Tobolsk-Neftekhim” pipeline. Among those attending the event were Leonid Mikhelson, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SIBUR Holding, Chairman of the Management Board of NOVATEK; Dmitry Konov, CEO of SIBUR; Vadim Yakovlev, First Deputy CEO of Gazprom Neft; and heads of regional government.

Today, during the 16th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, SIBUR, the Russia’s leading petrochemical company, and LINDE AG (Germany), a world-leading gases and engineering company, entered into an agreement on design development for an ethylene cracker unit of ZapSibNeftekhim in Tobolsk, Tyumen Region.

Russia and Eastern Europe's largest petrochemical company SIBUR and India's largest private company Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) have agreed to form a joint venture named Reliance Sibur Elastomers Private Limited to produce 100,000 tonnes of butyl rubber per year in Jamnagar, India.
